Miss Dior Cherie

Hi everyone,

Just a little post on my favorite perfume of the time. I feel that this is a classic, everyone has a bottle of this, I don't feel very original when I wear this but I do love it.

First of all the bottle is adorable, I love the bow. It always make me happy when I spray it on me.

Then for the scent, it is very sweet, but not sugary sweet. It had strawberry, violet, mandarin and a caramel popcorn I think. How good does that sound.

Be careful, if you buy this perfume at a Dior counter, you are buying the new Miss Dior, witch smell different. It is a water down version of Miss Dior Cherie.

Go try it :)

Vera Wang Lovestruck perfume

Hi everyone,

Today I'm doing a review on Vera Wang Loverstruck perfume.

I was never a big fan of her Princess perfume, the original one, to much vanilla I think. I have her Preppy Princess witch I think was a limited edition from last year. Witch I feel is a good day scent.

So lovestruck is such a girly scent. First of all, the packaging is adorable, I only have the roll-on, because I wasn't sure if I was going to love it, but the packaging of the perfume bottle is so pretty. I really want to get it after I finish the roller ball.

Picture from fragrantica.com

It is perfect for an everyday scent. I wouldn't recommend it for the night time, but it would probably good for a date scent. It have Pink Guava, Mandarin, Tuberose, Lotus Blossom, Precious Woods, Sheer Musk in it. It's just such a romantic feminine scent, I love it.

I've been mixing it everyday the perfume I was wearing that day. It doesn't last very long on me, so I am happy I have the roller ball so I can reapply it during the day.

That's is
Hope you are having a great easter weekend,

Love Laurence

Current favorite (March edition)

Hi everyone,

So today's post will be on my favorites items for the month of March.

March was a strange month, two week ago, the weather was so hot, it was almost 30 degrees, which for Canada is really warm for March. Now the weather has calmed down, but it is still a little warm for the end of March, beginning of April.

So this month I have two perfumes favorites:

My place or yours Gina is a really warm and sexy scent. It is a very woody sweet scent. It has a spiciness that I love. It is perfect for the night time, even if I've been wearing it mostly during the day. I've been wearing it for those colder day.

And then for the warmer day, I've been loving Daisy by Marc Jacobs. I love this scent, it is a perfect summer/spring scent. I have this scent for one year now, and I always take it out during this time of the year. It is a grassy vanilla scent, if that make any sense.

I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup this month, but the blush of the month has been peachykeen by MAC. I love this blush, it was one of the first blush I bought from MAC and I've loved it since. I just love the effect it has on my skin.

With the warmer day coming I took out my Hoola bronzing powder. I use it for an all over face bronzing powder and since it is a matte powder it is perfect.

For lips, I've been loving NYX Sweet heart Mega Shine LIP Gloss. I love it on its own, or I've been putting it over Revlon Nude Attitude lipstick a lot and I love it.

This month I've read two Simone Elkeles book. I read her perfect chemistry series a long time ago and fell in love with it, and recently decided to try her Leaving paradise series. All I can say is OMG I love this series so much.

"Maggie has just returned home from a long stay in the hospital to repair the leg that was badly injured in an automobile accident; Caleb has just returned from prison, where he served nine months for driving the car that hit Maggie. In spite of a court order to stay away from her, Caleb continues to encounter Maggie and even ends up working for Mrs. Reynolds, the same elderly lady who Maggie helps. Telling the story in alternate chapters, Elkeles reveals the traumatic accident and its consequences from both victims' points of view. Maggie can no longer play tennis and is now convinced that she is ugly; Caleb must endure the harassment of his former friends, especially the beautiful, seductive Kendra. Not everything in the crowded plot is adequately addressed, but Elkeles creates raw emotions, dialogue, and high-school ambience that's just right. Maggie and Caleb are complex and authentic teens whom all readers will embrace. Theirs is a delicate, delicious love story--without the happy ending."

It is written in both point of view, I always love book that I written in guy point of view. Since I'm a girl I like to see what guy think about some situation.

So this is it.
Hope you are having a good week.
Love, Laurence

Candle haul

Hi everyone,

So today, I got an email from bath and body works giving me coupon for 10$ of any 30$ of more purchase. Also, the candle are 2 for 25$ here in Canada. So I decided to to try some new spring/summer scent candle. I don't like these scent as much as the fall/winter candle, so I don't buy as much, but I like to have a couple in my room, in case i'm in the mood for these kind of scent.

So I spent maybe 30 minutes in the store smelling almost every candle they had. I ended up with these:

Market peach is described as fresh-picked peaches by the bushel with a touch of red raspberry and citrus, layered with notes of rich vanilla.

I love the smell of peach, so I new I wanted a peach smell, in one of the candle I was going to buy. I was hesitating between this and Peach Bellini. It smell pretty good in the candle, but I remembered that my brother have the hand soap at his house and I really didn't like the way it smell on my hand.

Bahama Fizz was recommended by the girl that helped me in the store. She told me it was her favorite candle, so I smelled it, and I really liked it. It is described as a refreshing concoction of island pineapple, banana and fresh kiwi, infused with spiced rum and coconut.

I usually don't like banana scent, and I don't like it in this candle, but it doesn't smell very strong. The fresh kiwi and coconut are stronger. The pineapple bring the sweetness in the scent. And when you burn it it smell wonderful.

I was missing 5$ to make the 30$ needed for the coupon. So I bought the 2 mini candle that were 2 for 5$.

Mango Beachwood smell like juicy mango and mandarin combined with pineapple, cedarwook and tonka bean. I really like mango, I was searching for a pure mango smell, they didn't have one, so I opted for that one.

Finally I bought the Sea Spray candle. It is describe as a refreshing combination of cool salt air and cucumber water with notes of sandalwood and sparkling citrus. It describe pretty well the scent. It is a very fresh smell. I really like it and it is actually my father's favorite scent, so if you are looking for a man maybe...   I was hesitating between this one and the Bahama Fizz to buy in full size. I ended up picking the Bahamas Fizz, but I still really like Sea Spray.

On a other note, I bought a new perfume today. I know know, it is terrible, but perfume is my weakness. I bought a small size of DKNY golden delicious.

I'm usually attracted to night time scent, and this is one of them. My last post was about DKNY Red Delicious, which is a day scent, but golden delicious is a lot more my style.

And in my defense, it is a really small bottle.

Hope you are having a wonderful day.
Love

To Me, From Me

Ok, so let get this clear, I love perfume. I kind of obsess with them. I have so many. It's kinda ridiculous. But still, today I went to my drugstore for some basic stuff when I found myself looking at some discounted perfume and I saw this:

Ok so I'll start by telling you that I don't need another perfume. but I really like the DKNY be delicious, and I own the candy apple in sweet caramel, a limited edition from a couple of years ago. I wear it all the time in spring and summer. So when I saw the Red Delicious for only 20$ I couldn't pass the opportunity. So I bought a little gift for myself.  When I got home I immediately rip off the packaging to smell it.

So my verdict??
I like it. It a good everyday daytime perfume. When you fist spray it, you can smell the apple and a kind of champagne smell. And then you can smell some lichee, raspberry, a little bit of rose, some musk and vanilla.

It smell kind of energetic, if that make any sense. You can read on the bottle 100% pure New York, and it totally describe the scent. It would work perfectly for that day when you are running around doing a million thing. Also I read online that the scent last for a long time, so it kind of make sense, right??

So would I recommend this? I would stick with the regular DKNY Be delicious, I probably wouldn't of buy it if it wasn't on sell. But still a good everyday scent.

On a other note I also bought this for me today.

My hips probably don't need these, but I really like Jelly Beans, so what can I say.

Hope you have a nice week.
Love, Laurence
